The journey of Sacred Sciences began with a question: why had the world’s oldest healing system, Ayurveda, become reduced to a supplement or a slogan?
For our founders, this was not just a philosophical concern. It was a lived experience. From corporate boardrooms to personal health challenges, they saw a growing disconnect between modern lifestyles and traditional wisdom.

About Richa
Richa Agarwal is an IIM alumna, former global technologist, author, award-winning filmmaker, and recognised life and leadership coach. Her journey has never been conventional, but it has always been driven by depth, perfection, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
Whatever she pursues, she builds with purpose, and she builds it well.
In the corporate world, Richa led high-performing global teams and delivered breakthrough digital solutions.
When she entered the world of hypnotherapy, she did not just practise the modality; she championed it. At a time when few in India had even heard of it, she helped bring this powerful tool for inner transformation into mainstream awareness.
Her shift into filmmaking was born out of real human stories. Her debut film, based on a true client experience, won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and was selected as an official entry at the Cannes International Film Festival, apart from receiving multiple other accolades worldwide. Her second film, again inspired by a real-life client journey, went on to win multiple awards and is currently streaming on Apple TV and Google Play.

Her Story
Losing Herself Led Her Back to Ancient Wisdom – The Journey of an IIM Alumna into the Soul of Ayurveda
Richa has always believed that hard work never goes unrewarded, and when the body, mind, and soul yearn for something deeply, and it is pursued with unwavering integrity, the universe listens. This belief has been her quiet anchor, guiding her through every chapter, helping her find success across every path she has walked.
As a technologist, Richa led global teams, built digital innovations, and shaped a career she was proud of. But after the birth of her child, her life’s greatest gift, everything began to unravel. Postpartum fatigue. Relentless exhaustion. Chronic health issues. She was breaking down from the inside out. She stepped away from her career, from her sense of self. She lost her identity, felt invisible as a woman, and adrift as a mother.
In that stillness, something ancient stirred a quiet pull toward healing, first her own, and then others’. She trained as a hypnotherapist, became a life and leadership coach, and worked with thousands, from individuals seeking inner clarity to corporate professionals navigating quiet storms. During the pandemic, she witnessed the pain of unspeakable losses, children orphaned, and young wives widowed overnight.
And one question kept haunting her:
We belong to a 5,000-year-old civilisation. What happened to our ancient Ayurvedic wisdom? To the legacy of Maharishi Sushruta, the father of surgery… of Acharya Charaka, the pioneer of holistic medicine… and the Sanjeevani booti, a symbol of hope and revival?
She, along with her team, conducted research that uncovered nearly 200 herbs from ancient Ayurvedic texts and independent scientific journals. After a long study, they narrowed them down to a precious few. But the real journey had only begun.
She ventured deep into the Himalayas, speaking to local gatherers and guardians of oral traditions. In the alpine silence, she discovered sacred herbs with astonishing potency. Two of them were critically endangered. And in that moment, she chose to protect, not exploit.
That is how HimSanjeevani was born, not just a product, but a promise: to revive, to restore, to revere the sacred science of Ayurveda.

About Gyanendra
Gyanendra Singh is an ISB alumnus and executive technology leader with two lifelong passions: building systems that shape the future and exploring remote cultures and landscapes on his adventure motorcycle. In a career spanning UBS, the National Depository of Switzerland, BlackRock, and most recently Aviva India, he has led breakthrough innovations and built scalable digital platforms across the globe. But some of the most meaningful discoveries of his life did not happen in the boardroom; they happened off-road, deep in the heart of the Himalayas.
His Story
Where GPS Ends, the Real Ayurveda Begins
As a technologist, Gyanendra was trained to find logic, order, and speed. But something deeper began calling him, something older than any system he had ever built: Ayurveda.
This was not a professional pivot; it was a quest. He began riding through some of the most remote parts of the Himalayas, Kaza, Kalpa, Hunder Valley, Bhaderwah, Valley of Flowers, and even Muktinath in Mustang (Nepal), tracing clues from ancient texts and oral traditions.
The Sacred Search
These journeys were more than rides; they were searches for wisdom preserved in plants, people, and prayers. He spoke to local vaidyas, tribal elders, and herb gatherers in pursuit of herbs from the Demotrichum, Pleurospermum, and Saussurea families, botanicals so rare, they existed only in whispered folklore and grew in places where oxygen was scarce.
One memory etched itself into his soul: riding solo from Bhaderwah to the Pir Panjal range, not a soul in sight for hours, snow falling all around, until, in perfect silence, a Himalayan Tahr appeared on a distant ridge and vanished. That moment reminded him that real discoveries are quiet, rare, and sacred.
Respecting What’s Rare
Gyanendra eventually found several of the herbs he sought. A few were carefully included in Sacred Sciences formulations. But two of the most potent were left untouched, not because they lacked power, but because they were too rare to harvest ethically. To protect their future, he chose reverence over reward.
